Birthday Holiday Fun

One week of, it was great!!!!

Direct flight to Melbourne, pick up the hire car & off to the Great Ocean Road.  Definately cold weather, but also great howling gales.  Great sites to see, & just time doing 'our thing'.

Having a lovely dinner on my (gosh how old!!) 55th birthday, at the Chifley in Geelong.

Next morning, a little showery, but sat & ate our lovely buffet breakky watching the water....
Here is Pete tucking into his....

Then off to Torquay & Bells Beach

Then just easily drove down the coast to Aireys the lighthouse that was used in 'Round the Twist'.  i just love lighthouses, & we even have a print on our bedroom wall of this one...been there years!!

To be continued........

LSBS June CC - fabulous!!!

 Hi dear friends,

I had a wonderful time working on the LSBS CC last weekend...did what I could do, & didn't stress cos I didn't finish all of the great challenges....& that is a good thing.

I was so fortunate to win one challenge & this is it. I was really stoked with that, cos it is my own LO...

Wonderful Nic used numbers - the year she was born in the criteria & I followed birth year is now (from tomorrow) my age.....mmmmm............. but just loved having fun creating.

This is a 3 fold card with inspiration from the lovely Dee....& I used my new KC pp & stamps for this one, & will use it as my sister's birthday card, which is in a few weeks.

Challenge 2, set by the beautiful Belle has criteria of green titles & a number in the title, so I scrapped this top piccie taken at Alan's this great pp!!

Then to finish off....some fun number cards..& really enjoyed popping these out..used that gorgeous Sassafras Lass pp!!

Well...I am now on a week's holiday from 1/2 an hour ago......& my dearest Pete is winging me away in the sky to the south & will end up at the Melbourne Museum for the Titanic Artifact til I am in the ether again....enjoy yourselves.

Scrapville Beauties for May

I had a lovely time with Melinda's sketch for May over at fact used the leftovers & made another, so I have a double...& happy with that as well.

What a great sketch it is Melinda!! And glorious pp & embellies...

This was a funny & wonderful tale tale of Harry setting up his Mr PotatoHead men, & taking photos with his little toy camera.  Then he got his mum to take a real photo...& he did the directing..just love it!

Next was the May sketch...

A happy family piccie here...

Then the May card....but I got diverted while I was making this one  & slipped away from the sketch!!

But it will be for Harry's 4th birthday which is just around the corner...he used to love bees, hope he still does!

Love to you, Deb xxx

Scarves for Sandie's blog

The lovely & talented Sandie popped a little question about scarves...& I thought most of mine that I had made were given away.  But not so!  Checked my scarves special drawer & here are 3.

My big green 'camoflage' one, a thinner white fluffy one, & a silver & black number with tassles.

And the pattern is...just knit to your hearts content!!!

I just fiddle around with stitches & types of yarn, & generally have fun..nothing hard for me...I just loose count otherwise!!

Not the greatest of piccies either!!

Alan's top cake!!

My brother just turned 70, & is now having fun on an OS trip...but before he left we had a whizz bang party at a lovely restaurant  & I made the birthday cake...cos I love doing that!

I made a two Caramel Mud cakes, from the AWW recipe files.  Then joined them together & covered them with White Chocolate Ganache, & also Caramel swirls.  Made a batch of patty cakes & some were iced with the ganache & the rest with caramel.

While I was deciding what cake to make I scrapped a page of Alan, & then had it converted into an edible icing from an Australian company called Custom Icing. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it was fantastic result!    I had one rectangle icing for the cake top, & 12 patty cake toppers.

I was assured by many of the party guests that their dessert was delicious!!

Now I have to work on a LO of the finished cake....

Here is the page from where the icing began.........

So if you are after a similar cake topper, dont hesitate to contact

If you do look on their website, you might happen to see my cake, in the Party Pack 2 section....yay!!
