Hello Love @ 123 Get Scrappy

Here is July's challenge at 1 2 3 Get Scrappy  & I have joined in with my page using a photo of  my darling young son Benni way back in November 1980, he was just one year old then...

I have chosen the middle line

I have had a grand time working on this LO on the weekend. I was on retreat with my dear scrapping friends & accomplished some fabulous happy moments scrapping.

Gorgeous new paper by AC with some chippies, & buttons & splatters of mists.. and I bought some Project Life cards & layered with them....I will never move to the 'dark side' hehehe but they are lovely for that extra touch.

Thank you for a great challenge.

1983 @ Scrap the Boys

It has been a long time since I have joined in the scrappers at Scrap the Boys, but a photo literally fell out of the oldie, not a fabulous shot but one I have wanted to scrap for ages!

Now the challenge for the

JULY CRITERIA- ‘ Big Boys Toys’

And although it is a shovel in my hubby Pete's hands & a plastic toy spade in my son Ben's I thought it worked so well for this one.

There was an immense amount of work getting ready for our new driveway & brick wall & I remember well how Benni loved helping his daddy!

I certainly enjoyed playing with Kaisercraft Base Coat pp, lovely chippies & wood veneer & mists & texture paste to create my page.

An ARTastic - CSI Collaboration...

I just LOVE this certainly inspired me to scrap...

This is a collabrative effort for July 2014 between ARTastic & CSI Scrapbooking.

Challenge - striped patterned paper and bright cheerful colours

Fantastic inspiration for me!

I choose this photo of my dear departed mum, my sister & myself as we walked into the door of the club where we arranged a surprise birthday for her..

I think the photo says it all!

My mum had never been given a birthday party before & it was gorgeous to see her reaction....
I loved the colours of my photo & balanced them with a fair bit of background work of inking & stamping & layering.

Here is Prima wire 'scripted' into the word..

I have used large yellow & white vertical stripes on my plenty of colour.

Thank you gals for a wonderful challenge.

Everlasting Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the next leg of the expanding blog hop.
I’m not sure when or where it started, but my dear Canadian friend Karen to play along so here I go!
I have met lovely Karen through Soul Scrappers, where we are on the Design Team together & we have formed a lovely friendship over the years.

So onto the questions:

1. What am I working on?

I am the blog owner/co-ordinator of Feeling Sketchy.
This is a challenge blog that is open to all to play along with the sketches.
So I need to design 2 cards & one LO sketch each month & also create examples as well.  So today I am working on 2 cards for September.

But I cant show you those sketches...but here is the card sketch that is on the blog now...

Card Challenge 94

and here is my card

We are sponsored by Aurora Wings Digital Stamps, so here is this darling fellow I enjoyed colouring with my Copics. Beautiful digi stamps there!

And also we have a LO Sketch that runs the whole of July & here it is

and my is my hubby & our grand daughter Pippi.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I really don't know!! I just 'do my own thing'! I scrap or make cards, or mixed media for myself...
Perhaps the difference is that it really is for me!

Here is some of my scrapping lately...

I love bright colours, & colours that perhaps don't usually go together..

Adding mixed media to the page..

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

I just 'found' scrapbooking one day 11 years ago, & I can still remember that wonderful feeling of joy...I was instantly attracted to all the papers, & stamps & inks....

Now I 'can't help myself'! I must do some papery every day, even though I go to work!!

4. How does your writing/creating process work?

I just sit & it all flows! I find a photo & & my mind just starts ticking!
I love using anything on a LO...I am not worried about archivalness (is that a word?) because there is always photos of everything including loads about my LO or cards.

Thanks for taking a look at my has been wonderful to join in!
So next Monday 14 July, pop over & have a look at my lovely scrapping friends blog
Dale we continue on our Everlasting Blog Hop!
